Where you are….
It’s Easter today and it’s a year and a half since you’ve been gone. Of course, as on any Easter Sunday at church, Will gave the lesson on Christ’s ressurection and I’ve heard it many times, but he was talking about man being made in God’s image. And as God is triune…so is man, having a body, soul, and spirit. It reminded me of the overwhelming calmness that came over me when I went to see you at the funeral home that day after you died. I saw you and I knew instantly that you weren’t there. That you, your soul, had gone to be with the Lord. I knew we both thought and hoped that where you were going was going to be Heaven. Do you remember Will telling us about it when you were in Bangor a month before? I remember the smile on your face, the hope in your eyes. I know even though you couldn’t talk and were scared that you held on to this hope. I’m so glad I got to be a part of your life. You don’t even know how you’ve changed mine. God is so faithful. He loves you, even more than me, and for that I’m so happy.
